Tanque Verde Guest Ranch Event Center

This 16,700 SF building had to maintain the rustic character of the existing ranch structures. As the CMAR, our team was tasked with this challenge, causing us to think outside of the box to make this dream a reality– starting with sourcing large timbers from the hills of Colorado. Construction included very large, exposed timbers and wood plank ceilings, a large wooden dance floor, plank exterior siding and a full commercial kitchen. The project also required a new water main to be brought in through rigorous terrain from nearly a mile away, and an 180,000 gallon water tank was also constructed on the site. With tight budget constraints and the construction type, Barker Contracting located and consulted with contractors from the east coast, Texas and Colorado, in order to make this project a success for our client.
